DESCRIPTION:

You have heard of the horse whisperer; well, on this excursion you have the opportunity to witness the crocodile whisperer.

Board your air-conditioned transportation for the approximately one-hour drive to reach the crocodile show, quite possibly the only one of its kind in the world. Your guide will provide a brief overview of Limon en route to the crocodile facility. Upon arrival, enjoy an educational walk along a tropical trail.

Then board your boat for an approximately 45-minute scenic canal cruise. After your cruise prepare to meet Pocho, star of the crocodile show.

The American crocodile is one of the largest predators in the tropical waterways of the continent, rivaled only by the crocs that inhabit the Nile in Africa.

Pocho is a 16-foot American crocodile that was shot by poachers and then found and nursed back to health by the crocodile whisperer. The whisperer will swim with the crocodile and make him do rolls before finally hand-feeding him.

This amazing interaction between man and beast takes place behind a secure area but you are very close to the action and this makes for great photos. After the show enjoy a snack of fresh fruits and a beverage prior to your return to the ship.

• Complementary soft drinks or bottled water are served during the tour.
• Round trip transport between the ship and attractions.
• The meeting point is inside the pier. Greenway have a special permission. Our guides are located close to the main gangway, just behind the security stand (scanner).
• Our guides will be at pier with a sign and the name of the tour on it.
• All buses have A/C
• Buses for 44 or 52 passengers have toilet.
• This tour has been designated an adventure tour.
• Tour is not wheelchair accessible & is not for pax with any walking limitations.
• All tour guides are bi-lingual English – Spanish. For other languages please make the request in advance.
• During this tour, in some places there is no shade, pax should bring sunscream, a hat, sunglases, etc.
• During the rainy season, Sep- Nov, pax should expect some rain. Pax should bring a raincoat.
• Greenway Tours suggests pax to bring mosquito spray for beach and rain forest tours.
• Greenway Tours buses are equipped with First-Aid Kit in case of accidents.
• Pax should bring a towel and swim suit for the beach swimming.
• Pax should wear comfortable shoes.
• Pax should be advised to bring a backpack to store cameras, film, sunscream and any other belongings for easy travel.
• This tour is designed for active people that enjoy exercise and the great outdoors.
• Facilities include changing rooms, showers, restrooms, bar, restaurant.
