Day by Day Itinerary.
Day 1. WELCOME TO COSTA RICA . Arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Transfer to Hotel Herradura. Free evening.
Day 2. TORTUGA ISLAND TOUR . This one day voyage into the exotic Gulf of Nicoya is perhaps the most enchanting experience to be enjoined in this charming and beautiful country. From our cast-off to the open sea, history, legend and breath taking views are yours to experience and treasure. We will go sailing past San Lucas, the famous former jail island, then on to Gypsy and Sugar Loaf islands and we make landfall at midday . In a magic cove, we pause a few hours to indulge in swimming, shell collecting, snorkeling or just plain relaxing in the sun or at the bar. Our delicious lunch features fresh sea foods with lunch fruits and vegetables from the area.
From our 6:00am pick up at your hotel to an approximate 7:00pm return, a festive party atmosphere, with excitement and sport, will make for a marvelous one day journey into the myriad hideaway ports of the pirates of yesterday.
Day 3. ARENAL VOLCANO & HOT SPRINGS . Located 3 hours from San Jose , Arenal is a beautiful cone-shaped volcano rising out of flat, surrounding plains. It is the most active volcano in the country. In the daytime, clouds of ash and smoke frequently billow into the sky. On clear nights, spectators are occasionally treated to eruptions of lava and burning rocks that explode into the air and shower down the cinder cone. Even when it is overcast, the rumblings venting and molten lava glowing through the clouds afford a very special experience. Leaving San Jose by mid morning, we'll be arriving to the Arenal area in the middle afternoon. There, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the surroundings and its relationship with the volcano. Next, we will visit the Tabacon Resort & Hot Springs, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. After all this, a great buffet dinner will be served at Ave del Paraiso Restaurant. This tour leaves by 9:00 AM and returns by 10:00 PM. Bring bathing suit, comfortable waking shoes and sweater.
Day 4. SUPER COMBO TOUR. The SUPER COMBO is the most natural way to experience the beauty of Costa Rica , while actively participating in some wonderful soft adventure tours. We will visit wilderness areas at the same time as we enjoy various special tours, all in full contact with nature. This journey will submerge us into the great diversity of natural activities available in Costa Rica , making the adventure and wildlife observation an album of experiences not soon to be forgotten.
The Costa Rica adventure tour starts with a 90 minutes bus ride to Sarapiqui town, located on the Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica . Arriving by 9:00 AM to Hacienda Pozo Azul, we will start our adventure with a horseback riding trip into the rain forest, where the Zip Lines are waiting for you. After this, we continue our trip on the tree tops of this beautiful and unique place. Ending after enjoy the longest cable, that cross the Sarapiqui River , a delicious buffet lunch will be waiting for. In the afternoon, the whitewater rafting trip (class III) will end this SUPER COMBO TOUR , the best way to experience the real adventure of Costa Rica . Overnight at Hotel Herradura. Dinner on your own.
Day 5. HOTEL CHECK OUT . Transfer to the International Airport and farewell.
