Day by Day Itinerary.
Day 1. WELCOME TO COSTA RICA. Arrival to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Meet and Great by our tour guide. Transfer to the Gay Hotel Colours or Kekoldi and free time at leisure for explore the rich gay night life of San Jose. Recommended places to visit: La Avispa Discoteque, Bochinche, Club Oh and Puchos Night Club.
DAY 2. A FREESTYLE DAY IN SAN JOSE (B, L). Customize your vacation with the included adventure of your choice. Please select one.
- San Jose City Tour: A half day tour where you will be able to know about the most important aspect of the Costa Rican culture meantime you visit some of the historical buildings. (no meals included).
- Pacuare River Rafting: The Pacuare River is one of the top five rafting rivers in the world for its scenery and rapids. This quintessential tropical river is a trip of pure magic, unsurpassed beauty, wildlife and exhilarating rapids.
- X-Treme Adventure Canopy Tour: Have you ever wondered what Tarzan and Jane felt like soaring through the trees? Well, here's your chance to find out! Your tour begins with a comfortable 90 minutes coach ride through the beautiful countryside of the Province of Puntarenas. Climbing the up the hills we will get the town of Turrubares , where is located the beautiful tropical park TURUBARI.
-Arenal Volcano & Hot Springs. A full day tour visiting Sarchi Oxcart Factory, Arenal Volcano area and Baldi Hot Springs, where you will have some fre time for enjoy the multiple thermal pools, Jacuzzis & Spa. Lunch & Dinner included.
- Rain Forest Wonders & Aerial Tram: Enjoy a great day in one of the best ecological parks of Costa Rica. Take a nature walk into the rain forest; visit a butterfly garden, a typical farm and many other attractions including a Tram ride.
- Poas Volcano & La Paz Waterfall Gardens: A beautiful ecological complex located in the Central Volcanic Mountain Range. A great opportunity for learn and admire the rich biodiversity of Costa Rica and 5 magnificent waterfalls. La Paz Waterfall Gardens is one of the most famous ecological attractions in the country.
- Poas Volcano & Sarchi Oxcart Factory: Here is your chance to stand at an elevation of 9,500 feet on the rim of an active volcano. You will gaze a thousand feet down into its hot, steaming, sulphurous bottom. Accessible by a good road, only one and half-hours from San José, Poas Volcano National Park boats a main crater almost one mile wide and considered to have the largest geyser in the world. After the volcano visit, you will visit Sarchi Town, where the famous hand painted oxcarts factories are located.
- Irazu Volcano & Orosi Valley: The highest volcano in Costa Rica’s mountain range, Irazu, is only about one hour's drive southeast of San Jose . The summit is 11,257 feet . Here, on a clear day, some two miles above sea level; it is possible to see both the Atlantic and pacific oceans. It' s best to bring along a sweater as it gets chilly exploring the miles of eerie landscape that surrounds the crater.
- Capucchino Coffee Tour: Have you ever wondered how to make your favorite cup of fine Costa Rican gourmet coffee? Coffee experts guide you through our organic coffee plantation, enjoy a fabulous lunch, learn as our baristas show you the art of brewing a perfect espresso or cappuccino. They remain on hand to fulfill any fancy in specialty coffee drinks. This Award-winning half day coffee experience is information packed, laced with humor, as we trace a single Arabica Costa Rican coffee bean from the plantation to the first sip of this rich, dark fabulous brew.
- Pueblo Antiguo Cultural Show with dinner: Travel through time and transport yourself to the Costa Rica of the past with the unique presentations of Pueblo Antiguo; where all the colors of the architecture, customs and traditions come together to show the origin of this small country and its friendly people. Come and enjoy this unforgettable time, filled with happiness and culture! (Only available on Fridays and Saturdays.
Overnight in San Jose and free time for enjoy the gay night life.
Day 3. MANUEL ANTONIO. (B) During the morning, land transfer to Manuel Antonio Beach. Manuel Antonio is the most important gay destination in Costa Rica, with few gay hotels, bars, restaurants and lovely pristine beaches. Check In at Hotel Villa Roca or similar. Free time at leisure.
Day 4. MANUEL ANTONIO TOUR. (B) Customize your vacation with the included adventure of your choice. Please select one. Some options include lunch.
Savegre River Rafting: Experience a trip of pure unsurpassed beauty, luxuriant vegetation, and exploding whitewater on this full day tour for the adventuresome beginner and experienced rafter. The Savegre River is one of the most pristine rivers in the country, and is surrounded by impressive views of the primary rainforest. Don't miss this exhilarating ride through nature!
Manuel Antonio Park Nature Walk: Take a natural history walk into the rainforest of Manuel Antonio National Park . Your bilingual naturalist guide will point out the great diversity of wildlife you might otherwise miss, and will explain the history and geography of the area. Lush tropical jungle surrounding beautiful, pristine beaches is your playground for the day. Three-toed sloth, iguanas, raccoons, white nosed coatis, agoutis, and other native mammals can be seen amid an unimaginable variety of rare plant species.
Canopy Safari: Sail high above the rainforest canopy and experience Manuel Antonio most popular adventure sport: the canopy zip line. This exhilarating tour was actually invented in Costa Rica, and has since been featured on the Discovery Channel. This is an adventure for people of all ages and interests, and is certainly one of the highlights of Costa Rica. Canopy Safari provides tourists a unique activity and ecological experience!
Sunset Sail: Your adventure aboard our sail-ships begins as you sail down the scenic coast, past the beautiful beaches and islands of Manuel Antonio National Park. As the boat glides quietly under sail you'll probably see dolphins, which frequently swim in the boat's bow wake. Occasional whales and giant sea turtles are a special thrill, and even the most avid wildlife enthusiast enjoys the ever-present abundance of sea birds. Enjoy of this aquatic paradise while attending to your safety and comfort. The crew will serve you plentiful portions of delicious food, in the tradition of the great cruise ships but will a homemade touch. During low season May-Oct only available during the mornings and includes snorkeling.
Mangrove kayaking: Easily paddle the lush mangroves to watch the abundant wildlife which includes hundreds of birds, coatis, and silky ant eaters. Immerse yourself in indescribable beauty, where nature reveals its flawlessness.
Isla Damas Mangrove: convenient day trip out of this region is to Damas Island, just a 30-minute boat ride from Quepos. The island has mangrove swamps filled with crocodiles and other colorful animals. With experienced bilingual guide will share the beauty and natural history of the canals from the comfort of our boat, equipped with all the gear needed to explore this unique journey.
Mountain Horseback riding: Discover with us the most spectacular views in the area from the view point of our best horses, all while under the special care of our tour guides. Our guides have an in depth knowledge of all the trails, and have the ability to make you feel at home in your new environment. At Finca Valmy, we are experts in the training of our horses, and as such can offer our clients an experience unlike any other where they are able to enjoy their surroundings safely and securely under the professional supervision of our staff.
Mountain Biking: The surrounding mountains and jungles of Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park provide a perfect setting for every mountain bike riding level. Guided tours are available to explore hidden waterfalls, traverse steamy jungle paths and thrill at glorious coastal vistas from the mountains above. Estrella Tour provides late model mountain bikes in excellent condition, all with front suspension and modern components.

Day 5, 6, 7, 8. MANUEL ANTONIO. (B) Free time at leisure. Many optional tours available.
Day 9. MANUEL ANTONIO & SAN JOSE (B). Morning free time for enjoy the hotel facilities or a last visit to the beach. Afternoon, land transfer to San Jose. Upon arrival, Check In at Hotel Sleep Inn. Evening, free time at leisure. Last chance to explore San Jose Night Gay Life. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Day 10. TRANSFER OUT (B). Transfer to the International Airport according with your scheduled flight and good bye.
INCLUDES: 9 nights lodging, all land transfers between destinations, airport – hotel - airport transfers on scheduled arrival/ departures dates only, specified meals and specified tours.

SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE: The shuttle bus is a service we have, where a maximum of 6 passengers travel in the same vehicle. By this way, we reduce the price of the transfer service and can arrange more economical packages. The service is very good, door to door, with recent model vehicles, full insured and A/C. |

DEPARTURE DATES: All our options are available all year around and we just need your travel dates in order to check the hotel's availability and arrange it.
HOW BIG ARE THE GROUPS: Our vacations are operated in an independent basis and you will not travel as part of a group unless you are part of a group. However, during the transfers and Daily Tours you will travel with other tourist we might have for that particular activity or service.
HOW TO RESERVE THIS PACKAGE: Please send an email to info@greenwaytours.com with as much as information you can about your desired vacation, number of participants, arrival dates, name of the package you are interested on and any other special requirements. Once you receive our confirmation form, a 20% deposit is due. Full payment due 60 days prior to departure.
CAN I CUSTOMIZE A PACKAGE: Yes, you can use our packages as a base and make any change on it. We are very flexible. If these packages do not fit on your desired vacation, just send an email to us and we can prepare a new option for you.
AIRFARE IS NOT INCLUDED: All our options includes the Land Portion only. Airfare must be on your own and indicate your arrival and departure dates to us in order to arrange the hotel's bookings.
HOTEL CATEGORIES: All the hotels used by Greenway Tours had been selected considering the best standards of quality and service. Our Hotels are between 3 and 5 stars. All inspected by our company's owners and managers in order to guarantee an excellent service. At least 50% of our lodging contractors had been certified as Green Companies by the Costa Rican Tourist Board ( Certification in Sustainable Tourism CST ).
AIRPORT TRANSFERS: All our packages includes Airport - Hotel - Airport Transfers with a professional bilingual tour guide upon your flight arrival.
VOUCHERS & WECOME KIT: During the transfer service to your hotel, our tour guide will provide general information about your tour and give you a welcome kit with all the vouchers and documents you will need for your trip. |
