Day 1. WELCOME TO COSTA RICA . Arrivals to the International Airport Juan Santamaria. Meet and Great by our tour guide and transfer to Hotel Herradura.
Day 2. SARAPIQUI. SUPER COMBO TOUR (B, L). After a full Costa Rican breakfast, you will experience the best adventure in Costa Rica . At only 90 minutes from the hotel, we will get into Hacienda Pozo Azul where a 100% adrenaline tour starts: The Super Combo . This trip is our best recommendation and during this full day you will experience a great time into a real rain forest doing horseback raiding, canopy tour (zip lines) and Whitewater rafting class III. The Canopy has a total of 12 cables and 17 platforms, 7 of which are build on trees between 60 and 90 feet high. This unique experience will take you through a canyon where you start from the edge at the ground and after several tree and ground platforms you end at a landing platform on the ground crossing the canyon 2 or 3 times. The horseback is a short ride through the Hacienda and along our trails combining pasture, jungle and rivers. The whitewater rafting leaves at the Hacienda's put-in and runs 13 Km . to Chilamate, with an average gradient of 1.2%. It can be run year round and no previous experience is required. After the tour, drive to Centro Neotropico Hotel, one of the pioneer's rain forest lodges in CR that is located just in front the Sarapiqui River . The rooms are rustic but with all the comfort. Wildlife is very abundant and the rooms are immersed into the beauty of the rain forest. Dinner on your own.
Day 3. ARENAL VOLCANO & HOT SPRINGS . ( B, D). Located at 2 hours from Sarapiqui, Arenal is a beautiful cone-shaped volcano rising out of flat, surrounding plains. It is the most active volcano in the country. In the daytime, clouds of ash and smoke frequently billow into the sky. On clear nights, spectators are occasionally treated to eruptions of lava and burning rocks that explode into the air and shower down the cinder cone. Even when it is overcast, the rumblings venting and molten lava glowing through the clouds afford a very special experience. Leaving Centro Neotropico in the morning, we'll be arriving to the Arenal area by noon. There, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the surroundings and its relationship with the volcano. Next, you will visit Baldi Hot Springs of the volcano, where you can relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano.
